Who is Prashant Godiwala?
Prashant P Godiwala is the founder and president of Sneha Karma Foundation, a United States 501(c)(3) non-profit that empowers underprivileged girls and women in India through education, life skills, and nutrition.
By profession, Prashant is a director at a Fortune 500 technology company in Silicon Valley, California. A philanthropist at heart, he has travelled around the world to understand the challenges facing the underprivileged and to find practical ways to help.
A vision of independence
Prashant founded Sneha Karma Foundation on a simple conviction: that no girl's future should be decided by the family she is born into. His vision is to help underprivileged girls become independent and self-reliant — to educate, train, and stand beside each one until she can stand on her own.
Every girl we educate is not just one life transformed — she is a family, a village, and a generation uplifted.
Leadership and governance
As president, Prashant leads a volunteer board — including Secretary Karl Meulema and Treasurer Sudhir Sreedharan — that oversees strategy, finances, and transparency. Like every board member, he serves without compensation, so that more than 90% of every donation goes directly to programs.
